Earth911 Inspiration: Farmers Pay The Price For Climate Data Purges
Following up on last week’s call for the Trump Administration to restore U.S. climate data published across a variety of the government’s websites, Earth911 adds its support for a series of law suits filed by farmers, who have lost key information needed to plan crops, restore soil health, and respond to climate change. Hiding the facts won’t make the problem of 1.5C global warming and its attendant consequences, go away. As EarthJustice attorney Jeff Stein put it: “Purging climate change web pages doesn’t make climate change go away. It just makes it harder for farmers to adapt.”
