This week’s inspirational quote tells a hard truth. The photo below is from Geeamana, Romania, a village purposefully flooded with toxic mine tailings to drive away the population. Now a United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization heritage site, Geamana’s church steeple is a reminder that too many environmental consequences are charged to humanity’s bill by unaccountable corporations. Pearl Jam‘s new album, Dark Matter, features the lyric: “It’s strange these days when everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake. This blame takes shape, still everybody else pays for someone else’s mistake.”
